It looks a very well made professional piece. It takes a lot of skill to make a lid and tight fitting bowl as good as that. Rather in the style of David Leach. Or early Derek Clarkson as he potted up your way.
But the problem is, the decoration is rather generic. As is the piece itself. Without a mark it is almost impossible to identify it correctly. There were a lot of good potters in the 1970's that never carried on with their careers.

Andrew Hague, Askrigg Pottery, usually marked on the outside of the foot.
