Dear all

Apologies, a little off piste enquiry but hoping collective knowledge base of the forum may help!

Abstract carving in what I think is soapstone of what appears to be a howling Wolf.

Signature possibly on base of one foot (maybe MUSA or MUSK?)

Approx 5” in length. Heavy in weight. Wondered if it might be Inuit and if there was any way of dating or attributing?

Probably Native Canadian.
Inuits didn't do wolves, as far as I know, and it doesn't have their writing or the igloo label on the base

I'll move it to the Sculpture section in due course.

FYI Received some thinking that the animal depicted is either a lemming or a wolverine?
