the polished pointil and the round edges are the key. in my opinion, after i excluded Sklo Union, Ingrid, Ravenshead, i tend to believe it is a Whitefriars vase.

Not whitefriars, but I have a horrible feeling it's one of those vases, always in lilac,
that were sold through the Heart foundation chain of charity shops some years ago.
Not sure where they were made, but they regularly turn up in the antiques trade,
incorrectly described as whitefriars.

Whitefriars would have been nice. I was afraid it might be Asian

This is definitely not Whitefriars, the square shape is giving me a feeling of Japanese glass vases I have seen in the past, but I have never seen them in this colour.

Re: Purple glass vase, neodymium?
Cheers. I have a feeling I’ve seen them for sale in the British Heart Foundation charity shops as new imports from Poland or Asia

I found an example of the ones I was thinking of from this website's reference section
https://www.20thcenturyglass.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=275_284&products_id=4032
But I agree, it is probably from BHF, I have seen similar style of vases in there over the years.
