Royal Copenhagen usually has a fawn sitting on top of a tortoise. This one looks similar, so possibly a test piece

Thanks for the replies
It is a puzzle The workmanship is of a high standard as is the glazing The stamp is so close to copenhagen I would have thought they woudnt be very happy with another company using it
BUT the top single wave is the puzzle
I cant find another company that uses waves like this
It would be nice if it was a test piece
Or is there another company lurking out there ??

Re: Is this copenhagen? - Enesco, Taiwan
Does it look new or old - can't tell from the photos but would expect a lot of base marks on the base if it's MCM or even late C19th - looks very shiny and new from the top photo?
Re: Is this copenhagen? - Enesco, Taiwan
I would say newish looking but Ive been caught out before
Does anyone know of a mark even similar to copenhagen ?

As a rule and generally speaking, all high quality and expensive brands have their own copies ( fakes ) , like Meissen porcelain or Royal Vienna have for example. Those two swords / beehive had been imitated in so many ways. In my opinion, there is a high chance for Royal Copenhagen to be forged.

It is possably a fake but as this is only 5 inches long it seems a whole lot of effort to fake for such a small return
