URSULA MORLEY PRICE
Ursula Morley Price is probably most associated with that group of potters including Mary Rodgers and Deidre Burnett from the 1970's who made ornate pieces with lots of frilly edges. Somewhat cruelly described by Paul TRice as the 'Frilly Knickers' trend, Ursula Morley Price probably made the most fragile and ornate of these pieces. She mainly lived in France
The piece illustrated here is probably unsuual for her work, as not being quite as fancy, It comes from the collection of the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield, made in 1985.

Yes that looks atypical of her work Naomi. The Alton Gallery is always a super place to look at.
