Ceramic (very?) old hot water plate, marked ‘L 76’
A hot water plate, completely ceramic (the old ones I know usually have a metal bottom). One of the filling holes still has a cork plug in it. It is badly damaged unfortunately but I am still intrigued. I do not know its age or origin but it seems very old to me. It has “L 76” marked on the bottom.
Any insights on age and/or origin or anything really? Would love to know more.

French maybe?. I think L76 would be the decorator's mark or pattern code.
