Only 9 inches tall but seems much larger to the eye.

Puppy dog with glass eyes applied.

Impressed Made In England 27 or 271 around outside of rump.

I thought it was likely to be a Devon company maybe Crown but nothing is coming up.

I'm sure I've seen that before. They made a lot of cold-painted black animals,
with glass eyes, plus it has a shape number.
