Looks like a kanji stamp. Might be by one of the Japanese potters that trained at Leach Pottery

Doesn’t look like his mark but I just found a list of other Japanese potters linked to Leach Pottery so I’ll take a look.
I like the glaze and decoration more than the shape.

The glazes look like those that Motoko Wakana used when she was working "down your way".

I think you might be right Studio. I’ll get a better photo of the mark later. I think it’s been marked sideways.
