Pottery penguin signed 'Mimi' - acquired in France

I'm unsure if this is intentionally terrible, or accidentally good. It's lumpy, splodgy, wonky... but it also does a very good job of capturing 'penguin-ness'. I actually quite like it, and it currently lives on my mantelpiece.

Whether or not it's some kid's school work is the question...

I agree with you that it does have a certain charm but I do think that it is by a "potier amateur français."

I thought as much. Still, it's staying put on my mantelpiece so I don't care too much.
