Re: Julian Rea - JR mark
I have discovered the maker of this pot from his son. The potter was James Rea and the mark is JR.

Wrong Name
Hello
In response to your query, I am afraid I realise I gave you the wrong name (I blame my age). The potter was Julian Rea (James is his son who bought the pot from me). I believe he was based in London and, having Googled his name, he is mentioned in Alan Caiger-Smith’s obituary in the Guardian, in 2020. He has since died, but the pot is back with his family.
