Italian wall plaque or plate, in style of F. Fanciullacci?
Hi - I know it is devilishly difficult to identify factories for mid century Italian ceramics, so probably a bit of a long shot, but I thought I'd give it a go.
It's a wall plaque/plate with a hand painted design of a bird (not sure what breed it's meant to be). There is a signature there too, but I can't decipher it. The off-white texture and general style remind me strongly of Fratelli Fanciullacci, but I can't find any evidence of them signing their pieces in this way and besides the signature doesn't seem to spell them. It has dimensions of 20 cm x 20.5 cm. Any ideas?
