I love this for its simplistic beauty and the very hand thrown appeal of it. While should be circular you can see where the potter has pressed a little hard like when attaching the handle and so not perfectly spherical which adds to the charm for me. Apparently brown clay and base is unglazed although looking again now I'm not sure if this is a matt brown glaze over a more reddy clay and unmarked apart from a pencilled 33,10 (assume Euro). Its 27cms tall. I just love its form - makes me just want to hold it. Any suggestions on maker and age?

Was just going to say the same as Ed - a studio piece and probably unlikely we'll find out who made it. Leave this thread here though, someone in the know about these obscure pieces *might* happen along one day.
