Small stoneware vessel - mark to base illegible...

Dear Forum,

Hoping that the shape etc of this small stoneware vessel may ring a bell with regards to the possible maker/era etc

Stoneware, dark grey and brown in colour. Marked at the base. Have taken a Blu Tack impression of the base and will add the shot to this topic.

Approx dimensions and weight:-

Height 8cm
Diameter at top 9.5cm
Diameter at base 4cm

Weight 250g

Maybe try a pencil rubbing on the mark

I’m off for a 6B pencil tomorrow! Apologies for the poor visibility of the mark in previous photos and thanks Naomi for your time as always!

Meant to add that I really like the form of this piece. Something about it warrants me trying to get a read on that makers mark if at all possible as I’m unable to tie the look of the piece to any one particular maker. Onwards and upwards as they say!

Tracking done some finer tracing paper but here's a slightly improved picture of a fresh blutack imprint with some fiddling to the contrast etc!
