Lovely piece. We've had the mark before but I'm afraid it is still unidentified.

It might be from abroad; Scandinavian or Irish, maybe. Or it might be a potter who's mark went unrecorded between the first two editions of the British Studio Pottery Marks book (1970s-90s). We just have to hope one turns up with a label.

Beautiful! I think they look more of an Irish than Scandinavian couple. She does love his beard!

I’d forgotten about my chicken plate. Possibly bought in London for what that’s worth. It was very heavy but this looks a bit finer and better decorated.

I know there have been previous examples of pieces with this mark on the site but wondering if there has been any further info about the potter.
