Looking for a confirmation on this please.
I belive it to be by David Abbey of West Yorkshire.
Very impressive piece of work, but sadly missing its lid.

I think it's very possible, based on his entry in the Marks book, but I don't have any verified examples of his work

Yes, I've struggled to find anything by him to compare, so I'll most likely send him a message and hope for a response. If I do I'll update this.
He's (if it is one of his) a fine potter. This is a substantial piece and done really well. The glaze sits beautifully near the bottom.
When I saw it I initially thought it was by my old favourite David Lloyd Jones and got a bit giddy with excitement.

Again BISPM shows a very similar mark, but I couldn't find more of the potter's work on-line to confirm.

What do you all think?

DA mark - David Abbey Empty Dave Abbey Pot

I would say this is a Dave Abbey piece. I have two pieces of his pottery and the glazing and style and colour are very similar.
