Help with ID Ecumenical Religious Themed Figures Signed d.burgess

Two groups of these figures have been found in different locations in the US (Florida and New Mexico), but no luck finding any potters that match through the Studio Collectors group here.  Heads sit atop glazed cups, they are all signed the same.  They are decked out in archaic religious garb that doesn't seem consistent with a US maker.  I ran across work by French potter Do Burgess who does use lower case letters in her pottery mark, but none of the work I've seen is figural.  Would love to hear any suggestions from this group.
