Bruce the Scottish Cat, Masonic faience, France
This is an unusual pieces a friend of mine has. It is damaged but that makes no difference to him. He can't get an ID on it so hoping you can help in here.
Around 22cm in Height. I'm assuming Scottish with the thistle, hat and name
There is writing on the base that starts with an M. I thought it said "Masonic" Any comments welcome. Thanks

That was my thought too. The base shown is just half. The other half is the same without writing. I can't get a photo from him as I'm sure his phone is wind up
It's there any significance in the two flowers? He thinks it has some real age. He is an old school dealer that doesn't need to sell online... Would be great to be at that stage! He wouldn't sell this piece but it would be great to get an age and/or maker

I think early 20thC, maybe even late 19thC
Forget-me-not and thistle. I guess means don’t forget Robert the Bruce and Scotland
