Small dish for ID. Empty Small dish for ID.

A pleasant enough little dish, red earthenware,  with a mark that looks like a square within a square,  though it may possibly be the letter D. I believe this has some age, possibly 60's or 70's, in my opinion.
Any help with ID welcomed.

I don't see an L, though I have got a history for missing the obvious.
