Girl and cat pulling blanket - Trial piece or reject
I picked this up years ago thinking, from its modelling, it was a test piece from a known maker, but have never seen a production copy.
To my (untutored) eye it is hand made, but would slip cast easily. Everything bar the burgundy dress and bow is glazed. On the base there are several marks - 59,36,29 all inscribed, "H" in glaze and an indistinct pencil mark.
Does any one know this piece or recognise the maker? I am sure there are other children out there with that face.

It looks late 19thC. Possibly a German fairing. Usual quality for a fairing
