Hello, this piece doesn't have any marks and wondered if anyone might know the maker? Thank you :)

I think it's a factory made Japanese piece of pottery.

It would probably have had a small sticky label, usually gold, saying JAPAN.

With that lip its got to be some sort of pourer bottle. Olive Oil, sauces or such like.

I think it's supposed to be a tokkuri (sake bottle) but it's not even a typical shape for one of those in Japan.

Might have been made for the Western market. They turn up regularly over here as a jug and Yunomi set

Sorry for the delay and thank you all for your replies! I just found this piece on a Japanese homeware site and it is a sake jug :)
