Despite some research I have been unable to identify this mark or the actual purpose of the item.
It is very good quality.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Japanese I would say, is the dress made of some plastic or wax. If so, it's defiantly Japan. Pastille burner ? and maker's mark please Downlo12

Or it could be one of the many Dresden factories in Germany, it looks like a crown above initials GG or GR.

Many thanks for your input. The dress is pottery/porcelain for sure. I will look to see if I can find any Dresden area marks to match. Any further thoughts on the function of this item?

This could be a piece of Aelteste Volkstedter pottery, Thuringia in Germany 1930's 1940's, I don't know it's purpose, incense or fruit juice maybe? : https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Aelteste+Volkstedter+pottery+marks%2C&atb=v287-2__&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images.Pastille burner ? and maker's mark please Downlo13
