I have a book, which has marks of a number of current Swiss potters and images of their work.
Nothing matches but it does look as if you found it not too far from where it was made.

I am just learning about ceramics but I never thought for a moment it was Swiss-made, almost everything I saw for sale was basically from (W) Germany or Italy, + French items in the far west of CH.
my hope was that it is an early piece from Bitossi and that might just be a "pipe dream"

Back in the 1990s I would sell things like Bitossi but always left that stuff even when it was 1 GBP or less. I wasn't the only dealer, who did that. To me it was cheap, garish tat copying much better made work and copying it badly. My view hasn't changed.
