Can anyone help in identifying who made this jug?  There is very little in way of markings - a scrawled signature/number on the base - it has a pinky/cream body clay with a cream glaze and hand-painted decoration - I presumed it was European, but now wondering if it might be a regional pottery similar to early Poole/Honiton and date from the 1930s-1950s - hopefully it might be obvious to someone who knows this period better than me!  Thanks in advance, Simon

It sorta looks a bit like Honiton but I would say it’s to chunky. For me it’s a Southern European tourist piece.

Definitely Mediterranean. Seen similar pieces well marked before, but the
name just escapes me atm.

Thanks, that's sort of what I thought when I bought it - Spanish or prob Portugese - but then had a moment of thinking it was UK - stick to your first instincts! If anyone can identify the region/name of Mediterranean pottery, it would be great. Cheers.

Actually, having looked again with a better Google search, think it might be Toledo, Spain - example on ebay but link not yet allowed
