SMALL ITALIAN? MAJOLICA FACE MASK Empty SMALL ITALIAN? MAJOLICA FACE MASK

I've had this little piece for a long while and every now and again I try to find out who/where it was made. It might be Italian... It's a red or terracotta clay with high gloss (majolica?) glazing. It only measures 2" in hight and has a pottery loop on the reverse. Any ideas?
