Hi There is there much wear from use or age related marks on it anywhere?
I have a small pocket snuff flask engraved Jacob Eisch which is made in a similar way
possibly of German manufacture so possibility yours maybe from that part of the world
or Bohemian i am no expert on these things though :)
When i first saw your piece i thought it looked similar to the flasks that Nailsea made but
totally different construction :(

It has some wear marks on the sides as these are in contact with the surface all the time. It seems odd it is designed to lay flat rather than stand up. It makes it hard to display.

The style of overlay cut to clear goes back to the mid 19th century but this looks later to me, maybe 1950s/60s.
Point of interest, the "nailsea" attribution referred to is a mistake for decorative flasks of this shape. They were never made in Nailsea which was for most of its life a bottle works. It's believed most were made in Stourbridge
