Heavy Glass Bowl ID Needed

This glass is very thick, has gold painted "bricks" on the exterior and the glass is textured on the exterior and also accented in gold.  It almost looks like there's an attempted signature on the bottom, but I think that that is just the patterning of the applied gold.  It measures 6 3/4" across the top and weighs over 3 1/2 lbs, very heavy because the glass is thick.  I was thinking Scandinavian due to the clarity and thickness of the glass, but the gold decoration doesn't seem typical.  Any ideas?
