It looks like a molded piece. The lack of a manufacturer’s stamp or studio potter’s mark points to it being an Asian import

Hi Naomi. Thank you for looking at it and for your quick reply. However, I do believe it is hand coiled and I have added a photo of the interior where you can see the coiling on the inside. I hope that helps with gaining more information on it. Oh, I forgot to mention that it is about 4.6" Tall to the top of the finial. Regards

If it was handbuilt rather than molded then the shell finial on the lid would be solid; from the photo it looks hollow. The original would have been coil built or sculpted to look like it was, but this looks like a copy to me
