Need help identifying glass pieces that are similar to Holmegaard gulvase
I am trying to identify those two vases. Does anyone know if they are Holmegaard gulvase?
Details below and other pictures available if needed.
Acquired in the Netherlands. No labels
Smaller gulvase with stopper:
Height with stopper 33cm. Weight 675g
Height without stopper 26cm. Weight 565g
Diameter 9.5cm / circumference 30cm
Bigger gulvase without stopper:
Height 30cm
Weight 1085g
Diameter 12cm / circumference 38cm
Colour is paler than my other Holmegaard gulvases (identified as they have Kastrup / Holmegaard label) rather powder blue than turquoise
Thanks for your help

Pictures of the tops will help. Are they cased white inside?
If so, The tops of the flanges should also be white.
They look ok to me, but there are modern copies around.

Re: Need help identifying glass pieces that are similar to Holmegaard gulvase
As I understood, gul vases were either clear coloured glass, or cased coloured glass.
white inside, and white on the top. The exceptions being all opaque white or yellow.
An image search for "Holmegaard gul vase" will show hundreds of examples.
I'm just unsure on these, as from the pix, they appear to be just opaque turquoise,
ie. not cased white inside or on top.

Actually they are cased (ie white opaque glass inside and clear blue glass on top).
They have exactly the same dimensions than my other Holmegaard gulvases (I have several other with Kastrup Holmegaard labels).
However they weight more:
- the 26cm vase weights 565g versus my Holmegaard one same size 494g
- the 30cm vase weights 1085g versus my Holmegaard one same size 712g
In addition, the colour is paler, rather powder blue, whereas my other pieces are turquoise.
And last but not least, the stopper is not the usual glaskugel initially made as Christmas decoration, but a stopper specifically made for the vase (see picture)
Thus I was wondering if anyone could identify them as either earlier pieces or even display pieces as it happens that some had those type of stoppers
Thanks

Flore I have a few. I'm not saying it is wrong [I don't know enough] but the cased glass ones normally have a distinctive white interior - this photo shows a clear change in colour or they are coloured glass.

Re: Need help identifying glass pieces that are similar to Holmegaard gulvase
Thanks.
I am afraid that is due to the pictures quality, as both are cased ie white opaque inside glass layer and pale blue exterior glass layer, which clearly shows as a distinctive change in colour from white to blue.
They are the same as my other gulvases, but difference as mentioned is weight (heavier compared to same size) and color that is paler blue, and the stopper that is not the usual Christmas ornament glaskugle

Flore. Sorry I still don't see it. If you go to my link and scroll down does you vase look the same as these photos? I'm not seeing the distinct white / blue change inside / outside.
Re: Need help identifying glass pieces that are similar to Holmegaard gulvase
Hello,
I took 2 other pictures, but I guess it’s hard to see because the vases are tripled cased (unlike my “regular” Holmegaard pieces that have only 2 layers). Thus, the inside white opaque layer is less visible as there is a thinner layer of clear blue on top.
The white opaque glass layer can be clearly seen at the base of the stopper.
Hope that helps.
Thanks
