I don't see why it couldn't be used, looks ideal for a soup bowl.

Looking to find out whether it was intentionally made as tableware. It's larger than it looks, saucepan sized with a lip to pour.

I don’t think it’s meant to be put on the hob or in the oven. More likely to be a serving bowl, maybe for soup
