Can anyone identify these begging dogs possible salt glaze ???
Purchased a pair of these quite unusual begging dogs i'm unsure of the type of dogs
and the age or where they were made, I think they are salt glaze or faiance?
Maybe Victorian or earlier possibly Staffordshire made?. The definition and detail
of the fur and facial features are quite detailed although i cant think which type
of dog they are :) They are about 4" in height and have a small hole in the bases
there is some slight dark color coming through on some edges almost like a slight
rusty color any ideas will be greatly accepted.

I believe it’s late 19thC or early 20thC German feldspathic stoneware. Made as novelties for fairs and seasonal festivities like Christmas
