I have 3 very pretty plates, handpainted and signed, but otherwise no identifying marks.  Unusually, there is a potter/artist mark on the front of each plate, but I can't find any information at all on these. They are typical of factory blanks that were bought to be decorated at home that was a fashionable pastime.

Therefore you are very unlikely to find any information about any such work, unless it leads to the individual gaining a significant reputation.

The mark I was thinking of was from the Faience Manufacturing Company, New York, USA Late 19thC but unfortunately not the right one
