Thrown, Rough-Textured Ewer, Incised CPO
Well made and possibly early-mid 20thC. Incised twice with CPO, or maybe CPo for C... Pottery? Around 6" high. Rough texture looks to have been created by gouging and poking the clay.
This isn't a functioning ewer; the body is hollow but the neck has been plugged with clay, probably deliberately as the plug has been smoothed off.

Unfortunately the photos aren't expanding. Have you uploaded them on 320px? Or are the originals just very small?

The Cp is almost identical to the Cooper pottery mark, although that is normally stamped, not free hand.
But that wouldn't explain the O ?

Celtic_Fan, it may be that the 'o' was included to avoid confusing it with Cooper Pottery.

Cheers. I wondered if it was Cooper Pottery? They didn’t add an o in the U.K. but they moved to Australia... ?
