Ive seen the shape and glaze on student pieces so probably not by a professional potter

I thought it might be an amateur piece, but it is very well-made with a good, even shape, and I really like that style of glaze.

It looks fine and I know what you mean about the glaze. However, I think if you see that glaze then you should immediately think.................... Student piece from the 1950s/1960s.
