Hand built lump for ID Empty Hand built lump for ID

Looking for confirmation that this is likely to be a "night class" piece. It has some age, in my opinion, but little quality.
It came out of a box with some other hand built pieces that date back to the 70's and 80's, some of which are by good names, though this one stands out for all of the wrong reasons, to me at least.
Not sure whether the incised marks to the base are of relevance, or just a continuation of what is on the main body.
Any help here welcomed, thank you 👍
