It's in that vein but aren't they usually much more specific with their markings?
Also, i've checked the Sylvac price guide and 748 is just listed as 'vase'. There is no 748D there.

What about Price Brothers? I'm just looking for something else and came across a MADE IN ENGLAND that looks very similar - also no other marks on the base though.
