Took these photos for reference in a centre. NIB and zero on line.
Unusual construction of a lamp base. If the hessian shade is original, that would make it 60s/70s.
There are a LOT of Newtons, plus a LOT of Newton prefix place names. Pity the label is worn away.

It's from Newton le Willows (Lancs).
