I think they are a plaster/resin material. Not a style Ive come across before. Maybe Italian?

I thought you could recognize resin figurines of their scent and their heavy weight. since these figurines don't smell that bad-chemical and are lightweight, I thought they might be made of a different material. is there a simple way to find out what kind of material it is?

You could try a hot needle test to see if it melts, but the resin/plaster ones don’t smell, as far as I know.

it didnt melt . could it it be made of wood?

Chalkware? Scratch the base with the tip of a sharp blade, and if it reveals a powdery residue it's either compressed chalk or possibly plaster of paris.

I tried to scratch with a knife but nothing comes out, no powder or somting like that
