Nobody seems to know Empty Nobody seems to know

Hi
I’ve tried a few fb site but not one suggestion so thought I’d try here. It’s 18.5 inches long. 9 wide and that’s as much as I know

By the design alone, Eric Leaper comes to mind. Not too sure whether Leaper used that type of clay tho. Somewhat similar Leaper design on Etsy.

My first thought was European; maybe 1960s-70s Vallauris Seems to be a slip moulded dish rather than hand / slab built on a hump

The clay, the foot, the size, and the pads, are making me think modern Far-East.

I think you’re right. The Vallauris pieces I’ve looked at are much more obviously slipmolded.
The kaki tenmoku glaze on this dish looks Oriental; very similar to rectangular vases I’ve come across in the past. They sometimes mark pieces made for the Western Market with a letter or number rather than a kanji character
