Russian hallmark
Hi all, can anyone identify the hallmarks of this egg pendant (year of manufacture, maker, place, etc.)? I know that it's a recent jewelry, but I'd like to know more details. Thanks in advance!

Re: Russian hallmark
Number 960 stands for the silver content. Number 525 stands for the gold content. In gold content mark there should be a lady's head facing the numbers. Somewhere next to head should be one letter, which should be the same as a second letter on the mark with letters. Mark with letters: first letter stands for a year of production; second letter stands for the government agency which approved content of precious metals (and has to be the same as a letter next to the lady's head). Letters after that (third and forth) are standing for manufacturer, or a place of manufacturer. In your case could be a place - Nizhniy Novgorod, but not sure. The numbers 960 and 585 pointing out at the time period before 1917. Exact date could not tell, most likely after 1800.
I guess I'm too late with response to the post, but maybe info will be helpful for somebody else in the future.

Re: Russian hallmark
My mistake about the date. This type of marking with the lady's head was used from 1927 to 1955.
In XVIII - XIX the marking for silver was usually number 84. In November 1779 Russian government allowed use numbers from 72 to 84 for silver marking.
Complicated system and not much info.
