makers mark on inlaid brass box?
Hello
I noticed your post about the mark on your box ,could you post more pictures of the box?I am looking to identify the same mark I have seen on a brass inlaid tobacco box ,that they are saying is French. I collect boxes ,the company that made similar boxes (probably better quality) was Erhard &Sohne ,it is not their mark. You will find their mark very easy on the net ,it is a siting lion on top of the letter E.
I have added picture of the same mark on the other box.
Regards Rabbit82.

Very nice box, I actually don’t own the one I posted. It belongs to a distant friend, I’ll ask them if it’s possible to have more pics and I’ll post them ok. Thank you for your post and interest, have a beautiful day

image of Erhard &sohne box.
Hi the last box I posted is not mine ,it is for sale and I am interested in the mark on it which is the same as the mark on your friends box,
I have posted my box which is made by Ehard &Sohne in their 1905 catalogue ,so that you can see some of their work, this one is not marked the mark was on the original (lost) key.
Regards Reddit82.

That’s a beauty, I wish I could help with the key as I have about 160 which I’ve bought over the years. I bought a small display cabinet that needed a key so I tried the first on the bunch I’ve got and it fitted perfectly. Happy Days
