The usual suspect for unmarked ash glazed pots is Richard Batterham but this doesnt look like his style.

Its a very nice piece. Obviously made by a good professional potter. Unfortunately there were a lot of them doing this sort of style back in the 70's, They were fairly generic. It probably had a paper label originally, and without any mark its virtually impossible to put a name to it. On the other hand, you have a unique professional superb quality hand made piece that most of us would like to own!
