Black dome with square top. I like the way the top looks to have been nailed or riveted to the base, and the variations in tone that give the look of an old iron pot.
This would have been an I.D. request but there was a piece of screwed-up paper rattling around inside which turned out to be the original receipt.

Are sure it's not Hagley?

Thanks, Davee, it is indeed Hagley, but I had to search the postcode to check because the label certainly looks like Hacley, probably because of how the receipt was screwed up. Why whoever it was didn't just fold it neatly is beyond me. I guess Hagley is in your neck of the woods. Is this a potter you've come across before?

Yes not too far from me, but no I've not come across her before. It does look like Hacley on the receipt, always nice to find some provenance inside a pot.

Is that her impressed "tick" mark in the middle of the base?

Not sure, I thought it was just a depression in the pot so didn't really look closely. I'm up in the loft now so I'll unpack it and have a closer look.
