Re: Royal Doulton (England)
I'm sorry we don't give valuations. Best to check completed listings on eBay for an idea of value.

That's okay. Just really want to find out more about them, if there are more plates in the set

Re: Royal Doulton (England)
Can you post a photo of the Royal Doulton mark? I may help to date it

Re: Royal Doulton (England)
That smokey blue look to the front of the plates reminds me of Doulton Burslem a company bought by Doulton who produced china rather than stoneware items. Most of the output from them I have seen seems to have come from the very late 19th century through to the first part of the 20th. Although I believe they produced a lot of tableware beyond that. if it is them then the back stamp will indicate the age as it changed over time and can be easily looked up.

Re: Royal Doulton (England)
I've found one with the same picture but different colours, which is from 1902-22, but without seeing the mark I don't know if yours is earlier or later

Not sure about the mark but look like a Doulton and Lambeth ink bottle i had once.
Re: Royal Doulton (England)
Yes, it's a stoneware ink bottle. I see a lot around here in N Hampshire because Macmillan used to have a printers in Basingstoke

Doulton Lambeth - can anyone ID this potters/decorators initials please
Doulton motto ware. Not a 20th C piece probably around the 1880s. The decorators mark is Florence Bowditch but I've not been able to ID the incised initials which I'm presuming are the potters. C is obviously one letter but is it a narrow A running through the C and to whom do they belong? I've checked all the possibles on the Antique Marks website to no avail. The upload system twists the photos round so I've put two vice versa shots up. Thanks

Re: Royal Doulton (England)
Have checked her details and she was apparently working for Doulton during the 1920s which looks like it would fit with your bowl's design

Can anyone help help id the artist for this Royal Doulton Art Nouveau Vase
Hi. Hope someone can help. I found this Royal Doulton Art Nouveau vase at one of our local auctions in the North West of England and although fully marked I have only so far been able to date the piece from the backstamp so am hoping that someone else might be able to fill in the gaps for the rest of the marks.
It has the standard Royal Doulton factory stamp (1901-1922) plus the other marks:
It measures approximately 21,5 cm tall x 10 cm in diameter at the widest part and weighs about 630 gms
It is actually one of a matching pair that I bought, but I thought for id purposes, images of only 1 would be ok. If anyone would like to see the pair together get in touch and I'll post a new image.
Thanks

Can you show the bottom of the other one? It could also be a JB.

Re: Royal Doulton (England)
The crown mark on your base was used from 1922 - 1956. Your vase is part of something called "New Style Wares" introduced about 1912. They can be designed by famous artists but tend to only be signed by assistants. I have had a look and I can't ID the LR or LB or anything similar, its very possible it is not signed at all and what you have is part of the design ID. Th is period is getting very popular at the moment because it is still affordable as a way into collecting Doulton. I have seen your vase several times before and it appears to have been one of the popular editions. To get unique one off designs I'm afraid you normally have to go before 1905 when the art pottery was most popular but obviously the prices also go up.
