Large (possibly) French Bowl ... marked Debens - or something similar?

Hello,

This is a large bowl - the diameter is 13 inches with a height of 5.5 inches. Earthenware.

Its marked with something like "Debens" then underneath "Aout 98" ... that will be French for August! So I think its French!!

But I think the name is something else .. what could it be?

So, can anyone really read the correct name?
