I can’t find the maker of this deer and is it a vase or a candlestick? - it has a hole in the head.

The use of the phrase 'Western Germany' is interesting. Its a nomenclature that was more used by countries other than West Germany, when the country was divided between East and West. The German potteries themselves did not much use the phrase 'Western Germany'. All to do with the internal politics of the Cold War and post WW2 Germany.

Candle Holder probably more likely. The German potteries did not really go in for Fancy Pants figurative pottery. Laughter Laughter

I've always suspected this mark to be by Cortendorf but not 100% sure.
