Sculpted head , no signature unfortunately.

Bought this one some time ago, but it has sadly lived in storage due to the fact that my partner is really creeped out by it.
Personally I love it, I think it is really well done.
No makers mark to be seen. I recently removed the felt base and can see the terracotta interior, with a thick glaze over the outside which gives the impression of bronze. The baffling bit for me is that the foot resembles stoneware.
Any ideas as to the maker welcome, thank you.
