Little Brown Jug: curious mark Empty Little Brown Jug: curious mark

Hallo all.
Does anybody recognise the maker of this stoneware jug.
It's only just short of 9cms tall but is remarkably heavy for its size.
There is an interesting white mark on the base, beneath the handle, which I assume is the maker's mark.
