St Ives wasn’t the only Pottery from that time that used the England stamp

That ENGLAND does look like a Leach St Ives mark. Its text, where it is, and the classic glaze filling. Part of the standard ware range, with prettier glazing. Impossible to date exactly apart from 60's early 70's. What makes you think its porcelain? Porcelain is very, very rare in this type of Leach St Ives work. Far more likely to be stoneware.

Thanks Phil. It may well be Leach as there's a very similar example on Ceramike (http://www.ceramike.com/gallery.asp?Potter=Leach%20Pottery&Pot=StIvesEggCupA), more-or-less the same dimensions.
Definitely porcelain as it has a translucent base.

The clay was what made me think twice about it being a St Ives piece. Certainly looks like porcelain; a lot whiter than the stoneware they usually used but maybe the same clay as the celadon oak leaf decorated standard ware
