Hi everyone I picked up these rather fine coffee cans today. By Rowland Ward Kenya / Hammersley and Co
Rowland Ward had an almost monopoly on taxidermy around the 1900's and prepared some of the best example around and they are still very sought after, me I would rather have the coffee cans!

Hmmm what info do you want?
This mark was used by Hammersley, the manufacturers, from 1939 omwards.

As it’s a known manufacturer I’ve moved it into the British Pottery section. We don’t seem to have a Hammersley thread already so I’ve edited the title to allow people to find it via our search facility and google

On the same topic. I have a Hammersley Rowland Ward Nairobi one pint tankard illustrated with an African Hoopoe. I was given it by my father when I left Kenya in 1967 to attend university in the UK. I have never seen another one.
As I am moving house and everything is in storage, I haven't a decent image, only this crop from a larger photo.

I believe it is similar to this Hammersley tankard (10cm x 10cm) with a plainer handle

I guess they were produced with the six birds. Had anyone seen a similar one?
