unusual cheetah leopard vase, unmarked

Really not sure what to make of this.
I thought it was something Art Deco-ish when I bought it a few years ago.
Relooking at it now I am v. puzzled.
4” tall, 7.5” across. Thrown.
Glaze on upper half is shiny. On lower half colours are rough and not shiny.
Colours on base make me think 1960s

I think the picture is of a Hyena.

The Hyena is the national animal of Lebanon. Which was controlled by France from 1920, under a League of Nations mandate. French pottery?

The style of decoration reminds me of Stellmacher Teplitz / Amphora.
